Championship Rules
 

REGULATIONS REGARDING CHAMPIONSHIPS AND TOURNAMENTS

1 All Championships and Tournaments will be played in whites (club shirts optional). Centre Colour (black) may be worn below the waist. All team members must wear the same colour
 
2  "Composite" teams are allowed in all Open Tournaments.
 
3 "Hetero" teams may comprise - all men, all women or any man/woman combination
 
4 Club Championships will be played on the dates and times as allocated unless altered by the Match Committee. Days allocated in the programme as "Championships as directed" will only be used as needed to ensure finalisation of Championships within the time available.
 
5 Members entering championship events must play in all rounds through to the final of the Championship entered. Substitute or replacement players will only be approved at the sole discretion of the Match Committee or Convenor of the Day in the event of death, serious illness or other previously unknown avoidable absence. Normal employment, vacation or other bowling commitment will definitely not qualify. Only Full Members of the Taradale Club (Inc.) will be allowed to play in Club Championships or be selected for Club Representative Teams
Please note: This ruling will be strictly enforced. Failure to comply may result in immediate disqualification.
 
6 Club Championships will be played under the Two Life system.
 
7 Club and Open tournaments will only be played if the entry warrants. To avoid disappointment, entries should be advised to the Tournament Secretary early to avoid cancellation of the event.
 
8 Bowls Taradale Club management reserves the right to cancel or amend the format of any event if entries, weather conditions and/or unforeseen circumstances dictate.
 
9 Players selected to represent the club at any event, or who enter a Centre or New Zealand event as a Bowls Taradale Club member, are required to wear the club's Official Shirt during all play at that event.
 
10 "Roll-ups" are not permitted earlier on the same day as any tournament or championship, if playing in the tournament.
